Coyote Disc Golf
The game of disc golf involves throwing frisbees at targets through the woods. It is scored like golf and can be played alone, with a partner or a group. It is played in all seasons, costs $10 to buy a disc and the course is free.
Gateway Education chose to express its mission through disc golf because like surfing, to be successful, you must be in tune with the nature around you and your self. The option to play by yourself allows for uninterrupted exploration as you wrestle with the challenges of the course or dealing with personal issues of how and where you fit in in team play.
Gateway Education's Pro Bio: Ron Cole

Local Courses:
Summer camp was over and a group of unhappy campers complained there was nothing to do in Crescent City. They were invited to play disc golf on an improvised course at Beachfront Park. This lead to those same youth asking the principal of there elementary school if they could install a disc golf course at their school.
After the family-friendly course was developed at Joe Hamilton Elementary, Beachfront Park disc golf course, with its epic views and wind challenge was created. In development currently, is the intermediate course at the fairgrounds, Del Norte County's first wooded course.
